Conrad McRae, Syracuse University basketball player, will appeal a judge’s decision forbidding him from suing the NCAA for $1.35 million over a four-game suspension last year, said his attorney, Eric Alderman. After deliberating more than a month, state Supreme Court Justice Thomas J. Murphy issued a 12-page decision agreeing with the NCAA that its relationship was with Syracuse, not McRae. Therefore, the NCAA owes no duty to McRae that would allow him to sue.
