Laufenberg Injured in World League Game
Babe Laufenberg, the former Crespi High and Pierce College standout quarterback, Saturday made his first start for the World League’s Ohio Glory in more than a month but sustained a mild concussion 12 seconds before halftime in a 21-7 loss to the host Sacramento Surge.
Laufenberg, who had started the Glory’s first two games before being benched in favor of Pat O’Hara, completed five of 13 passes for 37 yards and was sacked seven times for 64 yards.
On his final play, Laufenberg was sacked by linebacker Michael Jones.
