Phantom of the Plaza: It won’t be an ordinary lunch hour in downtown L.A. on May 27 when the cast of “Phantom of the Opera” launches this summer’s free noontime outdoor performance series in California Plaza with a tribute to composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. The show will be the first in the 6th annual “Celebrations! International Performing Arts Series” at the plaza on Bunker Hill. Other acts scheduled for Wednesday afternoons include a Nicaraguan Reggae band, singer Holly Near and Sri Lanka’s Ranga Dance Ensemble.
