Keeping Their Cool: Ice Cube and Ice-T, two of Los Angeles’ most prominent rappers, are involved in separate, benefit-related projects in response to the Los Angeles riots. Ice-T and reggae group Black Uhuru shot a video on Tuesday in riot-damaged areas of South-Central Los Angeles for a new mix of a Black Uhuru song titled “Tip of the Iceberg.” Meanwhile, Ice Cube, Yo-Yo, Cypress Hill and DJ Quik are working with producer DJ Pooh on a single reflecting on the riots and the challenges ahead. Both projects are expected to be released next month.
