** 1/2 Primus, “Miscellaneous Debris,” Interscope. This funky thrash trio continues its unpredictable, appealing ways with a five-song EP featuring witty and inventive reworkings of such rock obscurities as XTC’s cheerful “Making Plans for Nigel” and Peter Gabriel’s stark “Intruder.” Nothing essential, but an entertaining sample of the band’s eccentricity and playful zeal.
