LOS ANGELES : 2 Presidents Chosen for Community Colleges
After a nationwide search, officials of the Los Angeles Community College District picked one insider and one outsider as presidents for two of the district’s nine campuses.
Jose Robledo, an eight-year veteran of the district, last week was named president of Los Angeles City College. He had been acting president there since the retirement last year of Edmund Young. Carolyn G. Williams, currently acting vice president and vice provost for student services at Wayne County Community College in Detroit, was chosen to lead Southwest College.
