LA MESA : Hazardous Gas Found in Drug Raid
A leaking tank of hazardous gas was removed from a La Mesa house Thursday night during a drug raid, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said.
A hazardous materials removal team was called to the address in the 6100 block of Horton Drive after La Mesa police and narcotics detectives seeking a methamphetamine lab discovered a large tank leaking a gaseous material, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
Officers carried the leaking tank to the county’s Jamul bomb disposal site, where it was destroyed, the spokesman said.
