OBITUARY : Jay Wehrfritz; Doctor, AIDS Board Member
Jay Wehrfritz, a Pasadena physician and board member of the All Saints AIDS Service Center, has died of complications from AIDS, center officials said this week. He was 50.
Wehrfritz, who was in family practice, graduated from Occidental College and received his medical degree from UCLA.
He was chairman of the family practice department and a member of the medical executive board at St. Luke Medical Center, Pasadena.
He also was on the medical staff of Huntington Memorial Hospital and Pasadena Community Hospital in Pasadena, and Methodist Hospital in Arcadia.
Wehrfritz died May 11. He is survived by his mother, Amelia Wehrfritz of Culver City.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. June 17 at All Saints Church, 132 N. Euclid Ave., Pasadena.
