Billboard Art: “Growth Through Limits,” a 14-by-48-foot billboard by African-American artist Ernie Barnes depicting three youths gathered around a flower growing through cracked cement, will go up Monday at the riot-torn intersection of Homeland Drive and Crenshaw Boulevard. Space for the billboard, which organizers hope will inspire youth in the area, is donated by Patrick Media Group. The original canvas for the billboard design will be unveiled at City Hall today by Mayor Bradley.
