Two Thrifts to Swap Branches: Home Savings of America and American Savings Bank said they have signed a definitive agreement to exchange eight of Home Savings’ California branches, located primarily in Northern California, for nine of American Savings’ California branches, all but one of which are in San Diego County. The Home Savings branches have deposits totaling $350 million. The American Savings branches have deposits totaling $327 million.
