RIOT’S LONG ARM: More effects from the Los Angeles riots four weeks ago: the Salsa ’92 Custom Car & Truck Show & Family Fiesta, scheduled June 7 at the Orange County Fairgrounds, was canceled this week. . . . Says organizer Al Martinez: “Salsa is a family event; I could not go forward, wondering if the violence recently experienced in L.A. and Pomona (Los Angeles County Fairgrounds) would move to Salsa.” The annual show will return in future years.
