Stormin’ CBS: Gen. H. Norman Schwarzkopf, sometimes known as Stormin’ Norman, will soon be a commander of documentaries and specials for CBS. The man who led the allied forces in the Persian Gulf War has signed a three-year deal with the network as a host; he starts off with “The Year of the Generals,” a historical special airing Thursday at 9 p.m. Charles Kuralt co-hosts the program about World War II military leaders. Schwarzkopf’s relationship with CBS began last year when he and Kuralt anchored “Remember Pearl Harbor.” Future Schwarzkopf specials will focus on contemporary issues, as well as stories from history.
