A spurned boyfriend who shot himself in the head after fatally shooting his ex-girlfriend along a busy street died Wednesday, police said.

Juan Garcia, 18, of Santa Ana died about 2 p.m. at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, police said.

Garcia shot his former girlfriend, 20-year-old Nora Maldonado, also of Santa Ana, at an Irvine bus stop Tuesday afternoon, police said. The couple had been dating for a year, but Maldonado apparently broke off the relationship recently, police said.
