Image Entertainment Reports Profit for Year

Image Entertainment Inc., a Chatsworth distributor of laser discs, reported a profit in its fiscal fourth quarter and year that ended March 31, a result of growing demand for laser discs and improved operating efficiencies.
Image earned $336,663 in the fourth quarter, on a 16% increase in revenue to $17 million. A year earlier, it lost $130,924 on $14.7 million in revenue.
The company’s full-year profit of $516,208 contrasted with a loss of $609,306 in the previous year. Revenue grew 23% to $59.1 million from $48.2 million.
