Assemblyman Thanks Voters

My wife, Donna, my family and I want to thank my supporters for their loyalty and support during the election.

The 14 years the voters have given me in the state Assembly have allowed me to contribute to the successful resolution of numerous problems. The most rewarding of these have been solving the unfunded liability for the state Teachers Retirement System, developing the state’s chemical and refinery safety program, developing and implementing the state’s hazardous liquid pipeline program, public pension reforms, and public pension-supported home loan programs.

I can now devote my full attention to the state’s budget deficit and reopening Todd Shipyard in order to restore some of the 6,000 jobs that were lost with its closure. I also plan to focus on improving the California economy in general, passing my graffiti abatement program, halting public pension fraud, implementing my catastrophic health insurance program, reinstating California’s tax exemption on ships’ fuel, and continuing to serve my constituents until the end of this term.
