Share

Two people arrested after authorities raided a sophisticated indoor marijuana farm were ordered held without bail Thursday after prosecutors argued that they might leave town.

Gary Clamp, 50, and Karol Zunino, 46, were charged with conspiracy to possess marijuana with the intent to distribute.

Clamp also is wanted by federal officials in Denver on charges of using a phone to facilitate the transportation of cocaine, according to statements made in court. Authorities have also reported that he is wanted in Florida for drug trafficking and in Los Angeles for violating parole conditions.

A third person arrested, 31-year-old Daryl Miller, did not appear in court Thursday.

U.S. Magistrate Roger Curtis McKee scheduled a June 25 preliminary hearing for Clamp and Zunino.

The San Diego County Integrated Narcotics Task Force raided a warehouse in Golden Hill on Wednesday and seized 2,200 high-grade marijuana plants. Authorities said the marijuana would have been worth $8 million if it had been allowed to mature and sold on the street.
