Greg Nathanson, who resigned last month as president of Fox Television Stations, has been named general manager of KTLA-TV Channel 5, effective July 1.

Nathanson, a KTLA-TV executive from 1974 until 1980, has also held programming posts at ABC Entertainment and Showtime.

At Fox, Nathanson oversaw the management of KTTV-TV Channel 11 in addition to running the company’s five other TV stations. He is the brother of Marc Nathanson, chief executive of Los Angeles-based Falcon Cable TV Systems, a major cable TV operator.
