San Diego : FBI Arrests Four in Weapons Raid
Four men were arrested Thursday by the FBI after a two-month investigation into illegal weapons in Logan Heights, officials said.
Four Homes in the 300 block of Sampson Street and the 3100 block of Logan Avenue were searched, and agents seized four hand grenades, two handguns and ammunition, an FBI spokesman said.
The investigation originated with reports that people in the area were furnishing weapons to gang members. Before Thursday, nine hand grenades and two fully automatic weapons had been seized by an FBI gang task force in the inquiry, the spokesman said.
Taken into custody were Robert Castillo, 20, a student; Hugo Vasquez Castillo, 21, his brother and a security guard; Robert George Tello, 20, a resident alien, and Jaime Steven Johnson, 21.
