Budget Airline

Lucy Izon’s article (“Save With Bus From Israel to Egypt,” May 31) caught my eye. While in Jerusalem recently, I investigated this cheap form of transport. It is a budget traveler’s dream. But it is limited if your starting point is Israel. On Fridays and Saturdays, everything in the Holy Land stops for the Jewish Sabbath. I dare any traveler to find a way out of Jerusalem, even by faithful bus. But I discovered Air Sinai, a little-known offspring company of Egypt Air. A one-way ticket (from Jerusalem to Cairo) was $136 plus a $12 airport fee. Other airlines started at $215. Air Sinai is the airline for the budget traveler in a hurry. But beware: It only flies three times a week.
