OLD GLORY SEEKERS: If the flag you pull out for today’s Fourth of July celebration is tattered or torn, here’s a right way to get rid of it. The Huntington Beach Historical Society and the Orange County Girl Scouts urge people to bring their old flags to a “retiring-with-dignity” ceremony at the Newland House Museum in Huntington Beach on Sunday. Federal guidelines say old flags should be burned, which has long been a Scout tradition. The flags brought in Sunday will be turned over to the Marine Corps for proper disposal.
