ALTADENA : Student Beaten to Death Outside Convenience Store
A community college student was killed in Altadena on Tuesday by a group of young men who beat him unconscious, then dumped him from a moving truck, authorities said.
Michael Anthony Sedillos, 20, of Alhambra died at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena about four hours after the 1:30 a.m. attack in front of a convenience store on North Altadena Drive, Sheriff’s Deputy Diane Hecht said.
Sedillos, a student at Cerritos College, was attacked by a young man who jumped out of a pickup truck carrying about a dozen people, Hecht said. The man punched Sedillos, knocking him to the ground, and several other young men from the truck kicked and stomped him. Sedillos’ assailants put him in the truck and then tossed him out about two blocks away, Hecht said.
