Prime Network Announces Plans to Telecast Six WPVA Events
The Women’s Professional Volleyball Assn. finalized an agreement last week to have six of its remaining 1992 tour events televised.
Prime Network announced that it will telecast the Cape Cod Open, Atlantic City Open, Boulder Open, the U.S. Open at Venice Beach and the World Championships at Manhattan Beach.
The network also plans to telecast a four-women tournament at Venice Beach.
“We are pleased to add women’s professional beach volleyball, one of the newest, most exciting sports on television, to the lineup here on Prime Network,” said Dan Wilhelm, Prime Network’s general manager of programming operations. “We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with the WPVA.”
Broadcast times for the events have not yet been set.
