Quakes and Tests

Share

People concerned about the possible connection between Nevada underground nuclear testing and California earthquakes--or for that matter if their concern is the $60 million-plus the DOE spends on each test, or the radiation emitted from each test, or the ground-water contamination, etc.--will be interested to know that there was an amendment added to the House version of the Defense Authorization Bill, earlier this month, that puts a moratorium on nuclear testing. Call your senators to urge their co-sponsorship of the amendment authored by Rep. Mike Kopetski (D-Ore.).
