Molle was a freshman from Irvine. He started seven games and averaged 3.7 points and 1.2 rebounds per game.

The San Diego Police Athletic League 13-and-under girls’ team was beaten by Kentucky, 63-58, at the double-elimination AAU/USA Junior Olympics in Kenner, La. Richelle Perkins scored 17 points, Maria Brunker 16 and Jamie Brossard 15 for PAL, which will play a losers’ bracket game today. Kyra Elzy scored 29 points for Kentucky.
