San Diego : Sailor Pleads Guilty to Sexual Assault
A Navy man pleaded guilty Wednesday to 43 counts of sexually assaulting children who were students in Sunday school classes that he taught in two Mormon churches.
John Allen Midgett, 30, faces up to 102 years in state prison when he is sentenced on Sept. 11.
The petty officer first class admitted that he sexually molested eight girls between the ages of 5 and 10. The attacks took place in the victims’ homes and at the Sunday schools which were conducted in churches in Mira Mesa and Tierrasanta.
