Tiger Woods of Cypress shot three-under-par 69 and Scott Gibson of Huntington Beach shot 70 in the third round of the Tournament of Champions at the Horseshoe Bend Country Club in Roswell, Ga., but both remain well off the lead.

Patrick Vadden of Louisville, Ky., shot 66 and has a three-day total of 210, five shots ahead of the pack. Woods is at 221 and Gibson 222.

In the girls’ division: Kellee Booth of Coto de Caza shot 74 and has a three-day total of 229, 13 shots behind Emilee Klein of Studio City, who has a five-shot lead going into the final round.

Alicia Allison of Santa Ana shot 80 and is at 233.

David Warady of Huntington Beach was second in the 27th stage of the Runner’s World Trans America Footrace as the runners traveled 31.95 miles from Aurora, Colo., to Byers, Colo. Richard Westbrook of Jonesboro, Ga., won the stage in 4 hours 42 minutes 54 seconds. Warady’s time was 4:52:26.

Warady remains the overall leader by 6:21:54.
