Verdict Is In on Supervisor Roth, but Voters Should Have Final Say

Share

I have watched with interest what I, and many with whom I have talked, feel is a personal vendetta by the Los Angeles Times against Supervisor Don R. Roth.

It seems that the editorial (“Supervisor Roth Should Resign,” July 19) was your well-planned and predetermined coup d’etat.

Now the cycle is complete. You have filled the roll of accuser, prosecutor, jury and sentencing judge. Thoughtful people must conclude that you have accepted a rather heavy responsibility, even for your noble newspaper.

Unfortunately, there is another group you have failed to consider--those of us who have twice elected Mr. Roth to represent us. We have expressed our opinions twice and will have that opportunity again in the future.

Why not wait and let we the people be the final judges of what this personable, industrious, kind, and honest public servant’s future will be?
