Defending champion Tiger Woods of Cypress easily won his first two matches in the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship at Milton, Mass. Woods, 16, defeated Brian Bombard of Rochester N.Y., 8 and 7 in the first round, then beat Nick Malinowski of Dallas 4 and 3 in the second.
