Escondido Man Is Shot to Death

San Diego County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the shooting death of a 22-year-old Escondido man in Ramona on Saturday night.
Ruben Solis Jr., manager of an auto detailing shop in Escondido, was found shot in the head, lying next to his pickup truck on Ramona Highlands Road near California 78, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
He was taken to Palomar Medical Center, where he died at 10:49 p.m., a spokesman for the county medical examiner’s office said.
