THOUSAND OAKS : Applicants Sought for Seniors Council

Share

Thousand Oaks officials are looking for qualified applicants to serve on the city’s Council on Aging.

The City Council hopes to fill five of the 10 seats on the panel in September, said Carol Williams, a management analyst in the city manager’s office. Acting as an advisory board, the council helps the city draft policies on issues relating to seniors.

In order to serve on the board, prospective applicants must be more than 60 years old and residents of the city.

There is no deadline for applications, but Williams urged applicants to submit their forms by mid-August. Finalists will be appointed by the council.

Application forms are available from the city clerk’s office, 2150 W. Hillcrest Drive.
