Owner J.J. Shaw inaugurated a buffet lunch at Gandhi Indian Cuisine this week. It’s $6.95, served from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. French Provencal cuisine takes the spotlight at the next Passport Dinner at Monique on Tuesday. Larry Cano, whose current Orange County restaurant credits include Cano’s in Newport Beach, Studio Cafe in Corona del Mar and Manana in Fountain Valley, recently debuted Pasta Manana Ristorante & Cantina in Anaheim Hills. He describes it as “a bit of Italy with a taste of Mexico,” which means steak and chicken fajita pizzas, Juan’s smoked chili pasta, snapper Veracruz, Mexicali calzone and scampi caprese.
