Budget Bickering
I am having trouble understanding the current bickering between the governor and state legislators over the state budget. I can only assume that they are setting a precedent for all taxpayers in California. Therefore, I believe our 1992 tax returns should read as follows:
To Franchise Tax Board of California:
Enclosed please find an IOU for my state tax returns. My wife and I are having trouble reaching an agreement over our household budget. As soon as we come to some agreement we will send you the full amount.
