HUNTINGTON BEACH : Knife-Wielding Man Steals Guns, Cash
A knife-wielding robber Tuesday threatened a woman and stole weapons and cash from her home before fleeing out a back door, police said.
The robber entered the home in the 600-block of Indianapolis Avenue after he knocked on the front door and the woman’s young son allowed him in, Lt. Luis Ochoa said.
The intruder then took out a knife and headed for the bedroom, where he threatened the 29-year-old woman and told her to open a safe, police said.
He also took a rifle, two handguns, a camera and about $1,200 in cash before running out a back door and down an alley next to the house, police said.
No one was injured in the 8:15 a.m. robbery, Ochoa said.
The robber is described as about 40 years old, with salt-and-pepper hair in a ponytail. He wore blue jeans and a T-shirt, police said.
