Reel to Real: Woody Allen’s latest film, “Husbands and Wives,” was shown for the first time in New York Wednesday night at a private screening, and some moviegoers found eerie parallels between the film and Allen’s current relationship with Mia Farrow’s adopted daughter and the ugly custody battle with longtime partner Mia Farrow. Allen plays a college professor on the verge of a breakup with his wife, played by Farrow. The Allen character becomes involved with a 20-year-old student. “You can almost feel sorry for Woody because he’s so publicly exposed in this film,” one moviegoer told New York Newsday. “You really feel voyeuristic.” The film was scheduled for its first Los Angeles screening Thursday night.
