A 24-year-old San Diego man remained in critical condition Saturday after he was stabbed in the chest late Friday during an argument with two other men, police said.
Javier Gonzales was walking with his girlfriend about 11:30 p.m. in the 3100 block of National Avenue when the couple was confronted by two men in a two-door blue van, San Diego police detectives said.
They began arguing, and Gonzales was stabbed once in the upper left chest. He was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center.
There was no known motive for the attack, police said.
