LAKESIDE : Motorist Dies as Truck Overturns
A 30-year-old Alpine man was killed Saturday afternoon when he lost control of his pickup truck on Lake Jennings Park Road and crashed down an embankment, authorities reported.
Donald R. Fuller, the owner of a general contracting company, was driving erratically at high speed when he lost control of his truck about a mile north of Interstate 8, said Penne Hammerstead, an investigator for the San Diego County medical examiner’s office.
She said Fuller’s vehicle ran off the right shoulder of the road, sheared off a utility pole and overturned down an embankment, crushing the roof of the cab.
