A Times poll taken last weekend shows Democrat Al Gore with a 47% favorable rating here, Dan Quayle at only 41%. But worse for the vice president, his unfavorable rating was 57%; Gore’s was just 27%. More than one-fourth of those polled were undecided about Gore; almost everyone had an opinion on Quayle.
