Historic Preservation Panel Has Vacancy
Glendale is looking for a resident to fill a vacancy on the city’s Historic Preservation Commission, which meets monthly and oversees all historic properties in the city, officials said.
The commission reviews all applications for designating properties as local historic sites and also oversees the city’s historic preservation program, Planning Director John McKenna said.
McKenna said applicants should have educational background or professional expertise in a field such as architecture, history, archeology, urban planning, American studies, cultural geography or similar disciplines. Applicants are being asked to send a letter expressing their interest and qualifications to the city clerk’s office.
