Redshirt freshman Rodney Glover relieved injured starting quarterback Michael Carter and directed Hawaii to the only two field goals it needed in a 6-3 victory over Air Force on Saturday.

In a rare defensive battle in the Western Athletic Conference, Jason Elam’s field goals of 32 and 34 yards--the clincher coming with 8:11 left in the third quarter--offset the 47-yarder of Air Force’s Tyler Shedd.

The Falcons had drives of 38, 78, 17, 50 and 44 yards during the first half, but managed only the field goal.
