Share

San Diego State continues to move up the polls in college football. The Aztecs have risen to No. 21 in the Associated Press poll, up two spots.

The Aztecs (1-0-1) climbed two notches despite being idle last week and will likely move higher if they can beat No. 11 UCLA on Saturday.

The Aztecs already have beaten one top-25 team this year: Brigham Young (formerly 25th, no longer ranked). The Bruins (2-0) defeated BYU, 17-10, Saturday and moved up from 15th in the rankings. USC, which tied the Aztecs, 31-31, Sept. 5, makes its first appearance in the poll at 22 after surprising Oklahoma, 20-10, on Saturday. The Sooners (2-1) fell from 13th to 20th.
