FAST VIDEO: We’ve got ATMs, so why not a 24-hour automated video store? That’s the concept behind Videomatic stores, kiosk-type buildings where customers use credit cards to rent any of 150 current titles listed on a video monitor. The tapes are automatically dispensed through a window. . . . Begun in the City of Industry in 1989, Videomatic is expanding nationwide with three locations now in Orange County. . . . “People like the quickness of it,” says Sandra Haig, owner of a Costa Mesa franchise.
