3.5 Quake Hits Desert

A magnitude 3.5 earthquake shook the high desert area near Barstow at 8:11 p.m. Wednesday, Caltech Seismology Laboratory officials said. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
The quake was centered six miles northeast of Barstow and was an aftershock of the June 28 Landers quake, Caltech spokesman Steven Bryant said.
