FRIDAY FOOTBALL ROUNDUP : Belmont Sneaks Past Eagle Rock in Final Seconds
Ben Martinez scored on a 62-yard trick pass play as time expired to give Belmont a 13-7 win over Eagle Rock in a Northern Conference game.
With seven seconds left and the ball on Belmont’s 38, Robert Anaya caught a 16-yard pass from quarterback Yussef Evereteze and pitched the ball to Martinez, who ran 46 yards down the sidelines untouched for the winning score.
Martinez had 13 carries for 52 yards. Evereteze completed eight of 17 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns.
Records: Belmont 3-1; Eagle Rock 1-3.
