Share

A young Rosemead man died after he and two companions were chased on foot through a city park by two gun-wielding gang members who fired several shots at them.

Albert Escarsega, 21, died at Garvey Memorial Recreation Center, 7954 Dorothy St., shortly before 3:55 p.m. Wednesday. His two companions escaped injury.

Sheriff’s investigators said the three, all from the same Rosemead-area street gang, were sitting in the park when two young men from a rival gang arrived and began chasing them and firing shots.
