Who Blinked?: An upcoming TV showdown about royal peccadilloes is off because ABC has pushed back the airing of “Charles and Diana: Unhappily Ever After” which had been set to go Oct. 25 opposite “The Women of Windsor” on CBS. ABC denied the abrupt change was for competitive reasons. “They just finished shooting the movie Saturday,” an ABC spokesman said, adding the network wanted to allow “adequate post-production time to get the best film possible on the air.” “Unhappily” and “Windsor” are two of four network projects on the Royal Family. NBC’s “Fergie and Andrew: Behind the Palace Doors” aired last week. NBC’s four-hour “Diana--Her True Story,” begins filming next week.
