As a South Dakota resident (I am a college student at USC), I was surprised to read your article. I disagree with Gregg Bourland’s opinion that the protests to return Sue to the Black Hills Institute are racially inspired. The theater where I worked this summer had a protest petition, and the hundreds of people who signed these petitions were of every race. They were protesting what they thought was the unfair seizure of property whose ownership has not yet been determined, and they were concerned that the skeleton had been permanently damaged by the forced move.
