Pomona : Youth Found Slain in Park
Police were investigating the stabbing death of a 16-year-old Pomona youth whose body was found in Kellogg Park shortly after 6 p.m. Monday.
Lt. Leon Sakamoto said Moises Torrez was known to police as a gang member. His body was found lying on the grass in the park at the western edge of Pomona. There were no suspects.
Sakamoto said Torrez, who apparently died of multiple stab wounds, is the 32nd homicide victim in the city this year.
