Rapping on Hammer: Meanwhile, in San Francisco, million-selling rap star Hammer is being sued for $5.7 million in royalties and other damages a former producer alleges is owed him. James Earley co-produced Hammer’s last album, “Please Hammer, Don’t Hurt ‘Em,” the biggest-selling rap album of all time, with 20 million copies sold worldwide.
