AFI’s New Chief: Frederick S. Pierce, former president of ABC Television and ABC Broadcasting Companies who now heads his own motion picture and television firm, is the new chairman of the American Film Institute. Pierce succeeds Gene F. Jankowski, who has completed a four-year term.
