GARTH’S CHANCE: Garth Brooks’ most progressive single, “We Shall Be Free,” an anthem for racial harmony and gay rights, is turning off a lot of country fans (F1)--but not in Orange County. . . . Country radio KIK-FM in Orange says local demand for the song has been strong for weeks. . . . “I love the song,” says KIK-FM program director Craig Powers. “He really took a chance, but that’s what makes Garth Brooks great.
